The European American Sheriff's Advisory Council (EASAC) was founded in October of 2003 by the Sheriff of Los Angeles County Leroy D. Baca and multi-media personality and businesswoman Elizabeth von Schlesinger to create a communication bridge between the Sheriff's Department and the numerous European American communities in Los Angeles County.
The most recent U.S. Census indicates that 28 percent of the Los Angeles County population of over 10 million people declared that they were of European ancestry. This translates into more than 2.8 million people who comprise our European American community in Los Angeles County.
